Sliding gates have come of age, especially with the council allowing small building blocks.

The two main types of sliding gates are one piece, or the telescopic system. The telescopic system is a 2 piece system, for example, a 4mtr opening; you can slide back into a 2.4mtr backspace and not impede any of the driveway. The one piece, a 4mtr opening will need a 4.4mtr opening to slide back into as to not intrude on the driveway.

With a one piece sliding gate, the wheel roll on an aluminium ground track, which is bolted to the ground. If this system isn’t suitable, we can use a “Cantilevered gate system”. In the cantilevered system, all the wheel and track assembly is all of to one side, and this leaves the driveway free of anything bolted down.

Sliding gate motors can range from 12volt DC units to 3 phase, high speed units.
